Wyle Wayne Maloyed, age 79, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.
Wyle, better know as "Cowboy", has been there, done that and got the t-shirt. If you knew Wyle, when the stories weren't rolling, that meant the spurs were blazing and the dust was flying! He loved all things, horses, America, family and ladies. The mold was broken after Wyle was made… there will never be another. He was a hard working and honest man. If you had "Cowboy" as friend, he had your back. His stories, jokes and gentle way will be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by a son, Zane Thompson Maloyed; his parents, Boyd and Edith Maloyed; brother, "Big" Zane Thompson Maloyed; and sisters, Doris and Opal.
Wyle is survived by his children, Tamera Madden and husband Michael of Pa., Pamela Blain and husband Ross of Pa., Alan Maloyed and wife Katie of Pa.; grandchildren, Ashley Blain, Michael Madden, Jamie Blackburn, Erica Madden, Matthew Madden, Ryan Blain, Jack Maloyed, Grace Maloyed ; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Seaver-Brown Chapel at 7 p.m. with Blake Frazier officiating. Military Rites conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667 and The United States Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Graveside services will be private.
