William “Willie” Stephen Bowden, age 37, passed away on August 15th 2026 from an unexpected complication in the midst of battling brain cancer.

Willie was born and raised in Marion, VA where he graduated from Marion Senior High School in 2007. He loved hiking, fishing, and riding his motorcycle, but he was his happiest when he was spending time with his two children. Willie was a loving father, son, and brother and will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Edwin Dolinger and George and Beverly Bowden; and his uncle, William Dolinger.

Willie is survived by his precious children, William Bowden, Jr. and Allie Bowden; his parents, Jeffrey Bowden and Barbara Dolinger; siblings, Jessica Gillespie, Elizabeth Tuggle, and Morley Bowden; brother-in-law, Marcus Tuggle; nieces, Tanaya, Akira, Simorra, Lilly, Dorothy, and Kailey; nephew, Gus; aunts and uncles, Janet and Jerry Bilton, Vivian and Rob Vance, Stephen and Louise Bowden, Marcia West, Clayborne Dolinger, and Marlene Grimes; special cousin, Mindy Lee and many others.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 12 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver Brown Chapel, Marion VA with John Graham officiating.
