William Arnold Sproles, age 94, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Born on March 30, 1932 in Mendota Virginia. William was a man whose kindness, strength, and love for family touched everyone who knew him.

William faithfully served his country in the department of the Airforce in the Korean War. That helped him to carry a deep sense of honor and dedication throughout his life. He was a hardworking man who believed in taking care of those he loved and would always lend a helping hand when needed.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Malcolm Sproles; his parents, Avirt Livingston Sproles and Mary Jane Millard Sproles; along with nine siblings.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Steven (Glend) Sproles, Rex Sproles (family friend Gina Moor). Debbie (Mike) Owens, and David Sproles; William was a proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren all of whom brought him tremendous joy; He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many treasured friends.

William was known as a loving father and grandfather whose great happiness came from spending time with family. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures such as sharing, laughter, and wisdom with those around him.

One of his favorite sayings was “ENJOY LIFE AND BE HAPPY”. A message he lived by every day and one his family will carry in their hearts forever.

William will be deeply missed, remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew him.

In keeping with William’s wishes, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
