William H. "Bill" Dishner, Jr., 77, of Graham, passed away on Saturday 12/26/2020 at Cone Green Valley in Greensboro. Born in Baltimore, Md., he grew up in Marion, Va. Bill was the husband of 55 years to Jean Owens Dishner, who survives and the son of William Herman Dishner, Sr. and Ruth Hall Dishner, both deceased. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Burlington Industries as Planning Coordinator of the Transportation Division. Bill was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church, formerly holding the offices of Deacon and Elder. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Betsi Lynne Kizziah and her husband Barry, of Burlington, Beth Anne Smith and her husband Ron, of Burlington; his son, William Chad Dishner and his wife April, of Burlington; sisters, Ruth Ann Dunavant and Tessie Hayes, both of Marion, Va.; a brother, Patrick Dishner, of Creswick, Va. Known affectionately as "Poppie" to his grandchildren, they include, William Caleb Dishner, Cassidy Paige Kizziah, Sidney Anne Bartlett and her husband Chad, Ragan Nichole Kizziah, Grayson Olivia Dishner, Ronnie Dean Smith and Jacob Alexander Smith. Bill was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamison Dalton. A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Dishner's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 1/2/2021 at Graham Presbyterian Church. Military honors will immediately follow the service and will be held outside of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Graham Presbyterian Church, 216 W.
