Vickie Mercer Dixon age 59, passed away early Thursday, January 4, 2024 at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, Va.

She was the owner/operator of Payless Hair Care.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Everett “Beets” and Nancy Mercer; husband, Mike Dixon; and sister, Becky Blevins.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Dale Mercer and wife, Melissa; brother-in-law, Gale Blevins; niece, Cindy Andies and husband, Brian; nephew, Josh Blevins and wife, Crystal; great-nephews, Zachary and Dylan Andies; fur babies, Lucy and Londyn; church family at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church; and a host of customers and friends.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, 132 Churchland Drive, Atkins VA 24311, with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rural Retreat Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 238, Rural Retreat VA 24368.
