RURAL RETREAT, Va.

Teresa Grinstead Gore, age 56, went to  her Heavenly Home Friday, September 16, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

Teresa loved her life’s career choice as a registered nurse, BSN. She graduated from King College Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Helen Reedy Grinstead and brother, Ed Grindstead.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Duane Gore of Rural Retreat, Va.; sons,  Christopher Gore of Alexandria Va., Adam Gore of Abingdon, Va., Zachary “Zak” Gore and companion, Christina Olinger of Chilhowie, Va.; beloved Granny to Zane and Zayden Gore of Chilhowie, Va.; brothers, John Grinstead and wife Sue, Bobby Grinstead and wife, Cathy, and Tim Grinstead; sister-in-law, Irene Grindstead; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2022  from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. with Pastor Chuck Stout officiating.  Graveside service will be Tuesday, September 20, at 11 a.m. at Kirk Family Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Va.

Teresa loved flowers and they will be accepted or family suggests donations in Memory of Teresa be made to Valley View Baptist Church for the Missionary and Special Needs Fund, 1162 Slab Town Road, Sugar Grove, Va. 24375

Family and friends are invited to visit with Robert Duane at the home of his sister, Debby Sheets (and Ken), 706  Scott Street, Marion, Va.
