Susan Kirby

MARION, VIRGINIA: SUSAN FRANCIS KIRBY, age 67, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at her home in Marion, Virginia. Born September 25, 1936 in Warrenton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Albert Wesley and Louise Snodgrass Francis. She was a member and ordained Elder of Royal Oak Presbyterian Church and was an accomplished artist and calligrapher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathy Kirby. Mrs. Kirby is survived by her husband, Jack Kirby of Marion, Virginia. Two daughters, Karen Tilson and fiancé, Boyd Smith, of Richmond, Virginia, and Alice Kirby of Independence, Oregon. One son and daughter-in-law, John and Kelly Kirby of Roanoke, Virginia. One sister, Ann Francis Kennedy of LaCanada, California. One grandson, William Tilson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church with Rev. Alan Gray officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church.
