Samuel Hugh Taylor



Samuel Hugh Taylor, age 59, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, surrounded by his family.


Sam fought a courageous battle with cancer for a year and a half. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Sam attended Cumberland Mountain Community Services for 30 years.


He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Taylor, Sr. and Jackquetta Robinson Taylor.


Sam is survived by his sister, Rebecca Dye (John); brothers, William C. Taylor, Jr. (Tammy), and John Taylor (Pam); nephews, Andrew Dye and Zachary Taylor (Christina); nieces, Julia Dunn (Josh), and Samantha Jones (Matt); special friend, Juanita H. Gross; aunt, Georgenne Brownell (Frank); and numerous cousins.


Special thank you to the staff of Home Nursing and Lisa Lawson.


The family will have a private graveside service.
