Ronnie “Ron” Reedy, age 83, passed away Sunday July 5, 2026 at his home in Marion, Virginia.

Ron was a lifelong builder and worked as a contractor for many years. He built many factories and also many large businesses. He was known as an avid outdoorsman that loved golfing and flyfishing. He was the most graceful snow skier that all his family had ever seen. Ron was a big animal lover of cats, dogs, and all other sorts of animals. He enjoyed working on his farm with many cows and horses. Civil war history was one of Ron’s favorite things to read on. He also loved to enjoy a cigar often.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Reedy and Rosie Surber; brother, Jack Reedy; sister, Donna Price; cousin, Vicki Buettner; and his daughter, Rhonda Reedy.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lois Love Reedy; son, Ron Reedy, Jr. (Kim); step-daughter, Stacy Dorough; step-son, Jeff Blevins (Kristina); sister, Linda Pennington (Ron); brothers, Randy Surber; sister-in-law, Anne Reedy; grandchildren, Hunter Reedy, Hannah Reedy Griffin, Jacob Blevins, Mia Blevins; great-grandchildren, Winter Reedy and Wren Reedy; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Robert Francis.
