Ronald David Dancy, age 84, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2026 at his home in Marion, Virginia.

Ronald was a truck driver for more than 50 years and loved to travel and see many new places. He loved traveling with Brenda and seeing the different sites and camping in new places. His favorite place to camp at was in Pigeon Forge. Ronald was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Olivene Dancy; previous wife, Helen Dancy; daughter-in-law, Bridget Dancy; and son-in-law, Danny Reynolds.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Dancy of Marion VA; daughter, Debbie Dancy Reynolds of Marion, VA; step-daughter, April Lyles of Chilhowie, VA; son, Thomas Wayne Dancy and wife, Glenda of Rich Valley, VA; sisters, Judy Blevins of Marion VA, Barbara Neitch of Marion VA; sister-in-law, Linda Larmer; brothers, Jim Dancy of Marion VA, Sam Dancy and wife, Brenda of Marion VA, Joe Dancy and wife, Tammy of Chilhowie VA; brother-in-law, Bobby Combs and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Kathy Reynolds and Andy, Kim Coe and Michael; great-grandchildren, Aaron Nunley and Madeline Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday May 1, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Thomas Cemetery, 4410 Lee Hwy, Marion, VA 24354 with Blake Frazier officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 P.M.
