Robert “Bobby” Pruitt, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home.

Bobby was a loving husband of 52 years, a great dad and papaw to his favorite people in the world. He loved his family and enjoyed his time with them. Bobby retired from Textron in Wytheville after many years. He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Annie Mae Pruitt; siblings, Violet Sheppard, Kent Pruitt, Harvey Pruitt, Linda Goodwin, Betty Harmon, Patsy Pruitt, and Jim Pruitt.

Robert is survived by his wife, Norma Pruitt; daughter, Ranissa Aker and husband, Brian of Abingdon, Va.; sisters, Dorothy Shepherd of Christiansburg, Va., Joanne Gwyn of Lincolnton, Ga., Monnie Barker and husband Larry of Marion, Va., Mary Osborne of Marion, Va.; brothers, Arthur Pruitt and wife, Frances of Claremont, NC., Charlie Pruitt and wife, Pat of Atkins, Va.; grandchildren, Kayla Woods and husband, Shane of Adwolfe, Va., Aleksander Aker of Abingdon, Va.; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ian, Ema, Elijah; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Herman Cress officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105, would be appreciated.
