Richard Henry Owens Sr. age 89, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, Va.

Richard was a master electrician , and owner / operator of Owens Electrical Service for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 57 loving years, Virginia “Betty” Owens; parents, Dudley and Roena Owens; brother, Nelson Owens; and sister Louella Crigger.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Lisa Owens; son, Richard “Dick” Owens (Crystal); grandchildren, David Tuell (Angela), Kaci Tuell (Logan), Trey Owens, Levi Owens (Nicole) and Emily Buckles (Adam); great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jayden, Dylan, Caleb, Cayleigh, Aira, Aubrie and Samuel; several nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Fraziers' Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Blake Frazier officiating.
