MARION, Va.: Richard David Anderson age 77, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Kate Anderson; son, Richard Lee Anderson; father, John David Anderson; mother, Vicie Davis; and sisters, Bertha Hayton and Shirley May. He is survived by three daughters, Peggy Poston, Susan Elliott and husband, Allen, and Bridget Howie all of Marion, Virginia; brother, Ryburn Anderson; four grandchildren, Steven Poston, Jennifer Poston, Angie Poston and Lee Allen Elliott; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley, Va. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel; or friends may visit the family at the home of Peggy Poston at any time.
