Richard Adam “Wormie” Hamm age 25, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023.
Wormie was a happy-go-lucky guy who made friends easily wherever he was. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them – especially when he could be outdoors. When Wormie wasn’t with friends or family, he enjoyed working at Ingles in Marion. Wormie will be missed by all who knew and loved his kind and gentle way.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Della Grubb; and great-great-aunt, Zoreda Moore.
Wormie is survived by his mother, Heather Herron (Shane) of Kingsport, Tenn.; sisters, Jasmine Hamm and Sabella Herron both of Kingsport, Tenn.; brothers, Tyler Hamm of Kingsport, Tenn. and Cameron Herron of Gate City, Va.; grandparents, “Grammie” Candy Wilson and “Papaw” Cecil Grubb, Jr.; aunt, Mindy Grubb; uncles Charlie Grubb and Nicholas Grubb; nieces and nephews, Aqua, Arrow and Tucker Hamm, Atlas and Remington Herron.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown at 10:15 a.m. for procession to the cemetery.
