MARION, VIRGINIA: PATSY MAYS HOOPER, age 65, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home in Waxhaw, North Carolina. She was born April 27, 1949 in Grundy, Virginia to the late Russell and Betty Coe Mays. She was retired from Oak Hall Cap and Gown where she made many good friends. Patsy is survived by her daughter Betty Fowler and husband, Mark of Waxhaw, North Carolina; son, Scott Hooper and wife, Missy of Marion, Virginia; special friend, Arthur Bennix of Waxhaw, North Carolina; brother, Steve Mays and wife, Linda of Florida; two sisters, Jean Mullins of Kentucky and Barbara Owens of Grundy, Virginia; five grandchildren, Andrea Hooper, Kevin Kell, Justin Kell, C.J. Fowler and Emily Fowler; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Tommy Howell officiating. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at West Cemetery, Marion Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening following the funeral service.
