Michelle "Bunny" May Tallent

MARION, Va. / KNOXVILLE, Tenn.

Michelle “Bunny” May Tallent, age 61, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, Tenn.

Bunny was the apple of her mom and dad’s eye. She attended Marion Senior High School and went on to attend Veterinary School at the University of Tennessee. Bunny loved her time with her son Ben. She was an advocate for women and made many differences in the lives of so many women and children. Though Bunny was her name, she had a deep love for animals, especially cats and dogs that needed extra help. Her fun energy, warm smile and caring way will be missed by so many people and animals.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Davidson May, Jr.

Bunny is survived by her mother, Lynn Cormany May of Marion, Va.; and son, Benjamin Tallent of Knoxville, Tenn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at St. John’s Catholic Church, 124 Park Boulevard, Marion, Va. 24354. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with Father Frances Musalooza officiating. Burial will be private.
