MARION VIRGINIA: MARY RUTH HOLMAN SPEARS, age 70; passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Francis Marion Manor. She was a long-time member of Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Spears was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Ray Spears; an infant son, Greg and her sister, Georgia Ely.

Mrs. Spears is survived by one son, Barry Edwin Spears, of Marion, Va; and six brothers, Bert Holman, Danny Holman, Donny Holman, Ronny Holman, all of Chilhowie, Virginia, Carl Holman, of Springfield, MO, and Paul Holman, of Abingdon, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, May 7, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Home.
