Mary Katherine Jernigan, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at her home in Marion.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Henry Jernigan; parents, Kenneth and Mary Clay; sister, Patricia Clay Babcock; and nephews, Michael and Bill Babcock.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Wendy Raynor and fiancé Patrick Bovin of Marion, VA and Sandee York of Caney, KS; sons, Wesley Jernigan of Marion, VA and Benjamin Jernigan of GA; sisters, Louise George and husband Gil of NM, Shirley Patrick of Florida, Barbara Kary and husband Butch of WA, and Elizabeth Sacapanio and husband Sonny of WA; grandchildren, Devon and Sarah York, Katherine and Robert Isaac Raynor, and Avery Jernigan; nieces and nephews, Kristine Babcock, Kevin and Jeff George, Jenni Word, Janine Jackson, Jon Kary, Adam and Jason Patrick; many great nieces and nephews; other family includes, Amy Jernigan, Robin Hunter, and Mara Loggans.
