Malinda L. Oliver

 Malinda L. Oliver age 63, passed away Thursday, May 09, 2024 with her loving son by her side.
 
 Malinda spent her entire life caring for others. She started as a beautician styling hair in Spokane, Washington; for many years, she was a caregiver for her grandmother and many others in Nezperce, Idaho. Later in life, she went back to school at Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho for a degree in medical coding and moved to North Carolina to be near her son.
 
 Malinda enjoyed county music and nature. She took great pride in her yard; planting many trees and often tending to her flower garden. She loved long walks and relaxing on the porch watching birds. She was loved and will be missed by everyone she knew.
 
 She is preceded in death by her parents William and Gracie Banfield, brother, Louis Oliver.
 
 Left to cherish her memory are her son, Justin Oliver; father of her son, Stanley Rhodes; sisters, Victoria Banfield, Yvonne Randolph, Belinda Alfrey, and Dolores Banfield; brother, Jerry Banfield; several nieces and nephews and their families.
 
 In honoring Malinda’s final wishes, there will be no public service.
