Mack Tilson

MACK AVERY TILSON, age 58, of Marion died Tuesday, February 10th, 2004 at his home. A life long resident of Marion, he was the son of the late John W. and Nettie Doyle Tilson and was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Tilson, Ruby Widener and Mary Osborne and seven brothers, Dallas, Lem, James, Orville, June, Harold and Arnold Tilson. Mack worked with Sealtest for over 20 years and was a member of the Matson Drive Presbyterian Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Ball Tilson of Marion. One son and daughter-in-law, Mark Avery and Tracey Tilson of Marion. Three granddaughters, Brandi Nicole Tilson, Candice Brieanna Tilson, Shelby Faith Tilson. One step-daughter, Lisa Marie Gilderseelve and husband, Ken of Mesa, Arizona and their children, Tristan, Brandon and Tia. One step-son, David Anthony Rodriguez of Mesa, Arizona. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sage and the Rev. William T. Wing, III officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
