Lisa Elaine Long Rigely age 71, passed unexpectedly Monday, June 19, 2023.


Lisa was born September 24, 1951 to Amos and Lottie Long in Annville, Pa. After graduating from Union College with a Masters’ Degree in Elementary Education and Library Science, she was the Librarian at Marion Primary School for thirty-three years. Lisa was an active member of her community and dedicated her time to various philanthropic endeavors. She consistently went above and beyond to lend a helping hand to those in need. In retirement, Lisa spent time volunteering at Helping Hands Thrift Store and serving on the board of the Wee Care Preschool Program at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Lisa enjoyed spending time at the Lifetime Wellness Center, traveling and pursuing her diverse interests in lifetime learning.

Lisa cherished her relationships with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her considerate and generous spirit.


Lisa is survived by her husband of fifty years, Bob Rigely; daughter, Erica Frank; son-in-law, John Frank; grandsons, Caden and Chase; sisters, Janet McGowan and Julie Krall, and their families.


The family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 222 West Main Street, Marion, Va.  Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Kayla Keilholtz officiating.
