Linda Hutton Crigger

Rural Retreat, Va.

Linda Hutton Crigger, a longtime resident of Mountain Laurel Rehab and Nursing in Rural Retreat, VA., gained her angel wings, February 15, 2026 at Wythe County Community Hospital.

Linda enjoyed the little things in life, especially spending quality time with friends and family. She loved gardening, flowers, and cooking.

Linda was a God-fearing lifelong Christian and lived her life the Christian way; full of love for everyone she talked to. She was the most loving mother and granny anyone could ask for. She will be deeply missed.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Robert Garland and Edna Evans Hutton.

Linda is survived by her children, Jeff Crigger of Charlotte, NC and Shannon Crigger of Atkins, VA; sister, Danita Alexander and husband Dale of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Alyssa and Hutton Crigger, Kallie and Payton Crigger; Special friend Olivia Sawyers; and all of her church family from Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Linda was very appreciative of her loyal nursing aide and wanted to give a special thank you to Shari Jones from Mountain Laurel Rehab and Nursing.

A service for Linda will be held on Thursday February 19, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery’s Mausoleum.
