Lelia Falkie

Lelia Mae Goodpasture Falkie, 87, of Marion died Saturday, March 6th, 2004 at the Gregory's Rest Home in Meadowview. Born on January 9th, 1917 in Smyth County, she was the daughter of the late Conley and Bertie Wassum Goodpasture and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Falkie , a daughter, Patsy Falkie Pratt, two brothers, William Goodpasture and Eugene Goodpasture and a sister, Helen Goodpasture Hall. Surviving are two granddaughters, Linda Gordon of Greensboro, North Carolina and Diane Hanson of Vermillion , South Dakota. Five great-grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law, Grace Goodpasture of Abingdon and Eva Goodpasture of Bristol. Several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 9th at 4:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Neville Mozingo and the Rev. Don Perkinson officiating. Interment will be in the Wassum Cemetery in Atkins.
