Laura Farrington

MARION, VIRGINIA: LAURA AKER FARRINGTON, age 85, widow of Howard R. Farrington died Monday, August 25, 2014 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She was a lifelong member of Stone Memorial Presbyterian Church. Much of her work life was spent in the office of Dr. Armbrister. She very much enjoyed her time in his office. Laura loved her church, her family and was an avid Bridge player for more than sixty years. She so appreciated her Bridge friends and enjoyed her time with them. Laura is survived by two daughters, Ellen Joines and husband, Tim of Marion, Virginia, and Bonnie Sartini and husband, Tony of Roanoke, Virginia; one son, David Farrington of Diverville, Mississippi; one sister, Jean Stacy of Marion, Virginia; four grandchildren, Scott and Chad Sartini of Roanoke, Virginia, Chase Joines of Marion, Virginia and Airman Micah Joines of Del Rio,Texas; and many dearly beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Reverend Andrew Cundiff officiating.
