June “Billie” Kirk Teel, age 85, entered her heavenly home October 18, 2024 at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home, Rural Retreat, Va. 

June loved to sing and especially in the choir at Valley View Baptist Church where she was a member and also enjoyed being in the church Christmas plays. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Lee Teel, her parents, Worley L. Kirk and Ella Mae Dye Kirk; siblings, Vernon, Sherman, Vera, Virginia, John, Violet, Ruth and Virgie. 

June was a wonderful mom to her daughter and only child, Pam Heath and husband, Sandy and dearly loved her only two grandchildren, Shannon Shelton and Allen Shelton. 

She is survived by her siblings, twin sister, Barbara Pruitt; brothers, Paul Kirk (Charlene), Luther Kirk (Katie) and George “Red” Kirk and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her grandsons, Mitchell Shelton. 

The family will receive friends Monday October 21, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. James “Eddie” Kirk and Pastor Chuck Stout officiating. Burial will follow at The Kirk Family Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Va.
