GLADE SPRING, Va.
Judy Mays Booth, age 73, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
You’d never met a kinder, loving and giving lady than Judy Booth. She was a loving wife, mom, nana, sister and friend. Judy loved collecting things, especially beautiful plates and dishes. She loved to play the piano and everyone enjoyed hearing her wonderful alto voice. Judy’s smile and giving personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Sidney F. Mays.
Judy is survived by her husband, Chuck Booth of Glade Spring, Va.; daughters, Tonya Thornberry and Tyann Kurkowski, both of Benson, N.C.; step-daughter; Shannon Booth of Boardman, Ohio; step-sons; Richard Booth of Boardman, Ohio and Eric Booth of Cary, N.C.; mother; Helen Frances Mays; sisters; Ann Mays Williams, Donna Jean Mays, and Bonnie Mays Hayton; brother; Allen Mays all of Marion, Va.; several grandchildren; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; and her four legged baby Chihuahua, Sadie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Paul Shallenburg officiating. Burial will be private. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
