John Junior Thomas

John Junior Thomas age 66, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital after fighting a brief battle with cancer.

 John was a simple man who wasn’t hard to please. John graduated Marion Senior High School in 1977 and ended his career after serving 32 years at Marley Mouldings. When he wasn’t taking pride in his work, John enjoyed fishing, racing and riding motorcycles in his younger years and watching his favorite NFL team, Tennessee Titans in his older years. He will be missed. 

He was preceded in death by mother, Irene Thomas; brother, Cecil Thomas. 

John is survived by his son, Wesley Thomas and mother of his son, Bernice Thomas both of Marion, Va.; sister, Mary Sue Thomas of Saltville, Va.; brother, Lee Thomas (Anita) of Rural Retreat, Va.; several nieces, nephews and their families; special friends, Roger Johnson and Scotty. 

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 12 until 1:30 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel 237 East Main St. Marion, VA 24354. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Don Mutter officiating. Graveside services will follow in Old Glade Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 33234 Lee Hwy, Glade Spring, Va 24340.
