MARION, Va.

Joey Settles, age 51 passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Joey was a selfless man who loved his family dearly. He lived his life to the fullest, especially when hunting and fishing. Joey would give anything he had to anyone who needed it. He was a good man, and a nice man. Joey will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Settles; grandmother, Sue Tibbs; mother, Ruby Sue Settles; brothers James, David and Bill Settles; sister, Lois Tibbs.

Joey is survived by his wife, Lori Goodman Settles of Glade Spring, Va.; daughter, Kelly Sue Settles and fiancé, Rusty Tate of Rural Retreat, Va.; son, Dominick L. Romans and wife, Rachel of Bristol, Va.; sisters, Mary Christine Aliff, Vicky Settles both of Roanoke, Va., Bonnie Hutton of Max Meadows, Va., Betty Havens of Marion, Va. And Bonnie Ann Clark of Max Meadows, Va.; grandson, Waylon Romans; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Kimberly of Marion, Va.; great-aunt, Christine Settles of Roanoke, Va.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Steve Hutton officiating.
