Marion, Va.
Jesse Lee Bell, 67, passed away Saturday March 21, 2026 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Jesse was a very simple and kind man. He loved going to auctions and all sorts of yard sales in search of some of his personal treasures. Treasures such as marbles, antiques, and finding silver dollars always put a smile on his face. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting for ginseng and mushrooms which was his favorite. With a little help from God, Jesse and Carolyn were brought back together after growing up as kids and not having seen each other for over 30 years. After that, they were inseparable. Jesse loved his family and was always there to give a helping hand. If you had the pleasure of meeting Jesse, you were guaranteed a friend for life. A friend that would give you the shirt of his back and love you for life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jackie Lee Bell; brothers, John and David Bell; and his sister, Anna Marie Harden.
Jesse is survived by his Fiancée, Carolyn Harden of Marion, VA; sons, Shane and Shannon Fraely; step-sons, Dwayne Stroupe and wife Kathy and Joshua Stroupe and wife Stacy; mother, Thelma Starnes of Trinity, NC; sister, Cindy Miller and husband Rex of Trinity, NC; sisters-in-law, Michelle Harden Pack and boyfriend Billie and Brenda Harden Castro; brothers, Carl Starnes and wife Amy of Trinity, NC; brother-in-law, Mike Harden; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and brother, Greg Snavely.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 25, 2026 from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. with services to follow at 2 P.M. with Pastor Mike Sage officiating at Fraziers’ Seaver Brown Chapel.
