Jeannie Marie “Dump” Kennedy, 55, passed away at her home and went on to be with the Lord on March 10, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Coy Myers and mother, Clara Alice Myers; one sister, Cynthia Myers Ray.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Ricky Kennedy of Chilhowie; son, James Franklin Hatfield and wife Michelle of Chilhowie; sisters, Florence and Michael Jackson of Abingdon, VA, Rita and Michael Dunford of Warriormine, WV, Jolene and John Perkins of Marion, VA, and Shenandoah Myers of Abingdon, VA; brothers, Ben Matney of Carnation, WA, Brandon Wiles of Abingdon, VA, and Brody Myers of Abingdon, VA; granddaughters, Abby Charles of Lebanon, VA, and Kaydence Fleenor of Bristol, VA; special brother in law, Raymond and Tammy Kennedy; special friends, Angie and Allan Blevins, Jennifer Davenport, and Reverend Paul White; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at a later time.
