Jeanne Martin Haulsee

Jeanne Martin Haulsee age 70, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.

She was employed by Blue Ridge Job Corp Center, Tultex Corporation and AtWork Personnel Service. Mrs. Haulsee was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Marion V.F.W. Post #4667.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. “Jim” Haulsee; parents, Charles and Daisy Peery Martin; brother-in-law, Gerald Johnson; step-grandson, Stephen Ross.

Jeanne is survived by two sisters Sue Johner and husband, Charles of Troutdale, Va., Jo Ann Johnson of Chilhowie, Va.; one brother, Baker Martin and wife, Lynn of Volney, Va.; step-daughter, Velva Ross and husband, Don of Flatridge, Va.; step-granddaughter, Sarah Phipps (Adam); six nieces and nephews, Vince Johner (Carissa), Michelle Stamper (Jonathan), Jennifer Martin, Wesley Martin (Hilary), Jenna Johnson and Julie Tilson (Matthew); several great and great-great nieces and nephews; two very important and spoiled chihuahuas, Oscar James and Eva Jean.

Per Jeanne’s wishes, burial will be private at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, 538 St. James Road, Chilhowie, Va.
