James C. “Jim” Thomas age 82, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, Del.

Jim was a man of God who walked with the Lord in all areas of his life. He did so much for others, he was loved and most importantly, liked by everyone. Jim is missed every day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Thomas; brother, Dink Thomas; sisters, Marie Havens and Margie Bullins.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Kay Obranovic of New Castle, Del. and Lillian Short of Wilmington, Del.; brothers, Cecil Thomas (Jeannie) of Marion, Va. and Ronnie Thomas (Nancy) of Aiken, S.C. and Camp, Va.; several nieces, nephews and their families; and many beloved friends.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Slemp Cemetery, 234 Horne Hollow Road, Sugar Grove, Va. with Pastor Lisa Murrell officiating.
