Jack Reedy, age 83, passed away April 26, 2025 in Spring, Texas.

He was born July 14, 1941, in Washington County, Virginia, to Rosie & Ernest Reedy. He grew up in the Konnarock area, lived in Marion for several years, and moved to the Houston area in 1980.

Jack was a proud veteran, having served his country in Vietnam. He was also a founding member of the Adwolfe Fire Department.

Jack loved his family dearly. He loved to hunt and fish and especially enjoyed his time at his mountain cabin each fall. Jack also loved the Houston Astros, westerns, and dogs, especially Shih Tzus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, JD Surber; sister, Donna Price; special cousin, Vicki Buettner; Mother-in-law, Sue Edmonds; Sisters-in-law Jo Surber, Jeffie Campbell, Becky Brown and Carla Peoples.

Jack is survived by his wife, Anne Atkins Reedy; brothers Ron (Lois) Reedy and Randy Surber; sister, Linda (Ron) Pennington; daughters, Dawn and Jackie; Cousin-in law, Conrad (Butch) Buettner; sister-in-law Cindy Rivera; brothers-in-law, Johnny Atkins, Randy Atkins, Bill Campbell; nephews, Ron (Kim) Reedy and family, Bryan Pennington, Travis Price, Kenny Osborne and family; niece, Susan (Andy) Entwistle and son, Ethan; and numerous cousins; special friends, Sam Sekhavati, Juan Almaguer, Dennis Taylor, Judy Jackson, and Deanna Altizer.

Family will receive friends Monday, August 4, 2025 from 1 until 2 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, VA. Memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Blake Frazier officiating.
