MARION, Va.
Harold Thomas Wilson, Sr. age 82, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tenn.
Harold Wilson was a kind, caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather. If he wasn’t riding his tractor or building chairs and swings you might have found him camping. Harold loved his country. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harold will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Daisy Wilson; son, Harold Thomas Wilson Jr.; daughter, Theresa Lynn Wilson; brother, William “Bill” Wilson, and sister, Louise Horn.
Harold is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen P. Wilson; daughters, Tammy Elaine Elliot and Loretta J. Poe; sister, Glenda Cummings; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; furry friends, Rocky the dog and Jada the cat.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2023 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Blake Frazier officiating. Military Rites conducted by U.S. Army Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. Burial will follow at Greenhills Memorial Gardens 11800 Gov G C Peery Hwy, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609.
