Gretchen Scott Harris age 80, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Commonwealth Senior Living, Abingdon, Va.

Gretchen attended Grace Methodist Church in Vidalia, Georgia & Royal Oak Presbyterian Church in Marion, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Harris; father, Edgar T. Scott; mother, Phyllis Webber Scott.

Gretchen is survived by her son, Andre Heldreth & wife Jenny; daughters, Rachel Pennington & husband Eric, Adrienne Heldreth & ex-husband & friend, Richard Heldreth; granddaughter, Chloe Pennington; brothers, Phillip Scott & wife, Marinette, Ray Scott, Tom Scott & wife, Qianr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church 139 West Main Street, Marion Va. in the small chapel, with the Reverend Alan Gray officiating.
