Gladys Darlene Earnest age 69, went to live with her Jesus on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville, Va.

She was born in Marion, Va. and graduated from Marion Senior High School in 1976. She loved her classmates and looked forward to class reunions. Darlene was a huge fan of Johnny Cash and went to see him on several occasions. She was a dedicated Christian and loved her church family. Darlene was also known to be an avid Bingo player.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, W. Rudolph and Polly Cox Earnest.

Darlene leaves behind a loving brother, David Earnest of Sugar Grove, Va.; niece, Amanda Earnest of Danville, Va.; special cousin, Connie Cox Potter of N.C.; special friends, Josephine Havens and Liz Aker; many other family and friends too numerous to name as Darlene was loved by so many and she never met a stranger.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Carrington Place and Wythe County Community Hospital for their care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion Va. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Shelly Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, 5306 Sugar Grove Highway, Sugar Grove, Va.
