Atkins, Va.

Everett F. Mercer age 90, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Rural Retreat Care Center, Rural Retreat, Va. 

He was of the Christian faith and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Everett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy L. Mercer and daughter, Becky Blevins.

Everett is survived by his daughter, Vickie Dixon of Atkins, Va.; son, Dale Mercer and wife, Melissa; son-in-law, Gale Blevins all of Rural Retreat, Va.; three grandchildren, Tonya Dotson, Cindy Andies and Joshua Blevins; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Services will begin at 8 p.m. with Reverend Justin Hall officiating and Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Army Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. Burial will be private.
