Evelyn B. Hart age 98, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at her home.

Evelyn’s favorite role in life was that of being a homemaker, wife, mother and mamaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Herbert Eugene Hart; son, Jeffrey Eugene Hart; parents, Herbert and Neta G. Buck; several brothers and sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Gary Hart and wife, Sharon of Marion, Va.; daughter-in-law, Susanna Hart of Marion, Va.; sister, Betty Jo Crockett of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren, Casey Lee Hart and husband, Michael D. Hall, Courtney Hart Haugh and husband, Mark, Adam Jeffrey Hart and wife, Natalie, Mary Anne Holdren and husband, Levi; seven great-grandchildren, Jackson Cash Haugh, Hadlee Elizabeth Hall, Hayes Ericson Hall, Camren Raye Holdren, Millie Jean Holdren, Mary Landon Hart and William Jeffrey Hart; many nieces and nephews and their families; and special friend and puzzle partner, Sandy Ferguson.
