ROANOKE, VIRGINIA: ELIZABETH McGHEE CASSELL, age 92, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015. Mrs. Cassell lived her life on her own terms. She loved walking and being outdoors. She was very artistic and the more color, the better. Elizabeth was a strong woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family with all her heart. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Michael Davis Cassell; her parents, Paul Walter and Lula Mae McGhee; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rhonda Cassell, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia; three grandchildren, Adam Cassell of Roanoke, Virginia, Nicole Spero of Washington, DC and Daniel Spero of Vietnam and one sister, Imogene Copenhaver of Atkins, Virginia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Marion, Virginia with Reverend David Neel officiating, The family will receive friends from Tuesday, July 14 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
