Early C. “Johnny” Robinson age 79, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his home.

Johnny had his life in order – he served and loved the Lord as a Christian, deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was a loving husband, Daddy, Grandaddy, and friend. Johnny always had a smile or a funny one liner – the grandchildren always knew that if they needed him, he would call. He loved his community and shoed thousands of feet over the years while he and Lois ran Bill’s Bargain House. Johnny will be missed by his family and friends, but how glad we are to know, in Heaven, we will see him again and finally hear “I’m glad you got to see me.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Early G. and Elsie Robinson; wife, Lois Robinson; brothers and sisters, Sam Robinson, Virgil Robinson, Carl Robinson. Liz “Toots” Boyles, and Lula Lundy; son-in-law, Keith Clark.

Johnny is survived by his daughter, Julie Clark of Atkins, Va.; sons, Joe Robinson (Angie), George Robinson (Jill), all of Marion, Va.; sister, Linda McClure (Jerry) of Glade Spring, Va.; sisters-in-law, Lena Mae Robinson and Bonnie Robinson, both of Marion, Va.; seven grandchildren, Megan Robinson (Joseph Pallante), Kasey Umberger (Cody), Katelyn Keeling (Zack), Alex Robinson (Lindsey Walker), Ben Clark, Samuel Clark, and Hunter Robinson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Justin Hall and Pastor Chuck Stout officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Slemp Cemetery, 234 Horne Hollow Road, Sugar Grove, Va. 24375, with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Air Force Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cedar Bluff Baptist Church Youth, c/o Treasurer, 132 Churchland Drive, Atkins, Va. 24311.
