“Mother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.”

Drema Robinson age 85, entered her heavenly home Friday, April 7, 2023 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Va.

Drema Robinson was a beautiful example of God’s love. She was a devoted and selfless wife and mother. She gave of herself to help others, thus inspiring her daughters to help others in need. Anyone who knew Drema fell in love with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She even earned the nickname “Mrs. Claus” while a resident at Francis Marion Manor because of her sweet spirit and joyous laugh. Drema loved being in the kitchen and cooking delicious food for her family. Her daughters will never forget the homemade pies she prepared at Christmas. She made each one their favorite flavor. Her passion of cooking lead to her job in the dietary department of Smyth County Community Hospital. Drema also loved serving her church family at Marion Baptist Church. She enjoyed sharing her Bible knowledge as a Sunday school teacher for the Rebekah class. She also cooked many Wednesday night meals with brown beans and cornbread being a favorite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reeves and Eugenia Osborne; sister-in-law, Ruth Osborne.
