Douglas Wayne Gentry

CHILHOWIE, Va.

Douglas Wayne Gentry, age 73, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022.

Doug was born April 22, 1948 to the late John and Myrtle Gentry. He was a simple man who enjoyed life and loved his family to the moon and back. Doug was also a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Barbara Gentry.

Doug is survived by his daughters, Donna Hall and husband, Dean, April Robbins and husband, Denny; son, Donnie Sutphin and wife, Charla; sisters, Judy Jordon and husband, Paul, Debrah Warren, and Connie Gentry; brother, Jerry Gentry and wife, Madeline; grandchildren, Taylor McDonald and fiancé, Jeffrey Hermosura, Audra Hall and Buddy Corder, DJ Hall, Tracy Bellamy, Ashley and Scotty Rhoten, Tyler and Pamela McDonald; great-grandchildren, Sammy, Brooklyn, McKenzie, August, Ava, Levi, Boogie, Lena and Maddie; many nieces and nephews; and special pet, Peanut Gentry.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
