Donna L. Weigel Rosado

Donna L. Weigel Rosado age 66, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.

On May 1, 1957 Donna was born to Wayman and Beatrice Weigel. She was the first of 7 children – Donna, Barbara, Phyllis, Lisa, Nancy, Joanne and Wayman Jr. Donna grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. She would later have two children, Mark L. Weigel and Delores L. Weigel, whom gave her 3 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna had plenty of nieces and nephews who all love her so much. She always had kind words for us when we were going through something – you could always count on Donna. Some of us called you mom, some Auntie and some Wela; to all of us, you were love and kindness. Her smile brightened up any room and our hearts. On February 24, 2024 God decided it was time for you to gain your wings and for you to fly home. You’re gone definitely too soon. You will be missed by us all. Rest in peace Donna L. Weigel Rosado May 01, 1957 – February 24, 2024 –“ I love you, I like you, goodnight.” 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Weigel; granddaughter, Nyasia S. Hadley; and husband, Alfonso Rosado. 

Donna is survived by her daughter, Delores “Digga” Weigel; son, Mark L. “Cricket” Weigel all of Trenton, N.J.; step-sons, Alfonso and Lucas Rosado; father, Wayman Weigel; five sisters and one brother, Barbara Colon, Phyllis Mendez, Lisa Isidro, Wayman Weigel, Jr., Nancy Vandegrift and Joanne Lambes; grandchildren, Damien McLaughlin, Arianna Hernandez and Marcus Hadley; great-grandchildren, Ermias and Esaias Perkins, Damien McLaughlin, Jr., Aleeya McLaughlin and Ryker Reid,; several nieces, nephews, and their families, including special niece, Yolanda Colon; bonus son, Stephen “Ricky” Walls; and special friends, Terri, Bowen and Nikita. 

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion VA 24354. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor LaTara Cross Turner and Pastor Lance Turner officiating.
