Don Johnston age 85, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his home.

Don grew up in Oregon, and was a graduate of the Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood, California. He then moved from California to Virginia in 1978 working with Brunswick as an aerospace engineer and later retiring as a structural engineer. Don had a talent and love for landscaping, and his beautiful, pristine 2 acres of property.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrol and Florence Johnston; and son-in-law, Bryan Pollard.

Don is survived by his wife, Anna Johnston of Marion, Va.; three children, Melanie Pollard of Boston, Mass., Daniel Johnston (Peggy Murphy) of Appleton, Wis., and Rebecca Horvath (Eric) of Johnson City, Tenn.; sister, Jan Melcher of Estacada, Ore.; eleven grandchildren, Amber Pollard, Kyle Kramer (Brookelyn), Kelsey Kramer, Patrick, Elizabeth, and Natalie Johnston, Rachel and Samantha Ward, Emily, Caroline and Charlotte Horvath; and great-grandson, Calvin Kramer.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 2 until 3 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion, Va. 24354.
