Dennis Carl Statome, III, age 79, passed away at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Dennis was a resident at Francis Marion Manor Health & Rehabilitation, but lived a lot of his life in Chilhowie, Va. He loved to cheer for the University of Kentucky. He was a kind man and pretty easy going.

He is survived by his sister, Suzanne Nixon, Margo, FL, and her children (and their families), Steve and Rebecca.
