David Lynn Meek, age 76, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.
David was a loyal son, dad and friend. He was a graduate of Marion Senior High School, and attended E.T.S.U. He worked at Marley Moulding, Rector Oil Company, and Dana Corporation. David enjoyed showing his cars and attending car shows.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Meek; and mother, Catherine M. Rector.
David is survived by the love of his life, Debbie Trail; children, Daveau Lynn M. Haugen of Lenoir City, Tenn., Angela Sciarra and husband, Michael of Orange, Cali., and Michael Meek and wife, Khristy of Hendersonville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, John Meek, Roger Meek and wife Treasa, all of Marion, Va.; sister, Phyllis Hampton and husband, Pete of Christiansburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Mike Sage and Pastor Mike Sciarra officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
