Dale Edward Bowman

MARION, Va.

 Dale Edward Bowman, age 62, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

 Dale was a fun loving jokester who loved his family – especially the ones who called him Papaw Homes, because he was their “Homie”. Dale was married to Jennie for 25 years; he loved his kids and was known as the grill master in his younger years. Dale was Hokie crazy and after retiring from Harwood and Merillat, when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends. Dale will be missed.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Buck” and Shirley Bowman; and brother, James “J.R.” Bowman.

 Dale is survived by his wife, Jennie Bowman; son, Brandon Bowman (Becca);  daughter, Kelsey Lamie (Joshua); sisters, Brenda Taylor (Wayne) and Debbie Yarber (Rick); brother, Billy Bowman; grandchildren, Brayden Bowman, Brooke Langston, Logan Langston, and Andie Lamie; mother-in-law, Reba Blevins; several nieces and nephews; special family, Diana Taylor and Tracy McCoy; special caregiver Melissa Stoots.

 The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gary Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
