Charles Buttery

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: CHARLES THOMAS "TOMMY" BUTTERY passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. Tommy's family and friends knew him to be a good person and a great friend. He never knew a stranger and if it was help you needed, if Tommy couldn't do it himself, he found a way. He loved his fishing, his family and his friends. He was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and he's going to be missed greatly. Mr. Buttery is survived by his wife, Mildred Buttery of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two daughters, Tabitha Collins and husband, David and Jackie Louthian and husband Brandon; one son, Phillip Whitley all of Glade Spring, Virginia; one sister, Opal Graham and husband, Jerry of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two brothers, Bruce Buttery and wife, Jill of Chilhowie, Virginia, and Mark Sheets and wife, Dawn of Sugar Grove, Virginia; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Tommy's wishes, the family held a small gathering to celebrate the life of their lost loved one and to support the ones he left behind.
