Carolyn Kay Gilbert

Carolyn Kay Gilbert, age 72, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Ballad Health Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn.

She was born in Grundy, Va., the daughter of the late George & Pauline Whited Presley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Perez.

Kay is survived by sons, Ronnie Gilbert II and wife, Lori and Terry Gilbert and wife, Kim; daughter, Robbie Iseminger and husband, Mike; sister, Shelia Espinoza and husband, Ron; brother, Doug Presley; eight grandchildren, Andy Iseminger (Amanda), Haley Gilbert Bowman (Isaac), Brandon Iseminger (Sarah), Trevor Gilbert, Clayton Gilbert (Kaitlyn), Austin Gilbert (Morgan), Brady Gilbert, and Seanna Gilbert; eight great-grandchildren with another on the way; several extended family members.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Community Church, Hidden Valley Road, Abingdon, Va. with Brother Andrew Bennett officiating.

In lieu of bringing food to the homes, the family asks that you bring it to the reception immediately following the service to share and celebrate Kay's life with her family and friends.
