CHILHOWIE, VIRGINIA: BUFORD "BO" CROUSE, age 64, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 17, 2004. He died peacefully, with his family at his side, at this home in Seven Mile Ford following his fight with cancer. Born March 18, 1940 to the late Robert and Dosha Weaver Crouse, he was an active member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and, following thirty-two years of service, was retired from the H.S. Williams Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crouse was preceded in death by five brothers: Jack, Ray, Bud, Roy, and Earl Crouse. He is survived by his wife, Deane "Dee" Crouse of Chilhowie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Vickie Crouse of Chilhowie and John and Becky Crouse of Marion; one daughter, Tina Hayden of Chilhowie and four grandchildren, C.J. Crouse of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Andrew Crouse of Marion, and Kristen Gillespie and Katie Hayden, both of Chilhowie. He is also survived by ten brothers and sisters: Lila Brooks and Nancy McAllister of Marion, Bonny Hinchey of Meadowview, Betty Trivette and Joan Sproles, both of Bristol, Virginia; Paul Crouse of Marion, Harold Crouse and Junior Crouse, both of Chilhowie, Larry Crouse of Sugar Grove and Ed Crouse of Bristol Virginia. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Crouse was a warm, loving man who cherished his time with family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, he could often be found taking his grandchildren fishing in nearby ponds or walking the fields with his beloved rabbit beagles. He looked forward to deer season each year and never missed a chance to spend it with those he loved. He was a remarkable man, and his gentle spirit will be immeasurably missed by those whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 in the afternoon at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Pat Gilbert and Rev. Wayne Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm at Seaver-Brown Chapel, and expressions of sympathy may also be made to the family at www.seaver-brown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Crouse family
